Die Anleitung;
WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO?
1. Adds an E-mail to the players’ PDA for all the videos that can be collected throughout the game.
All the PDAs that can be collected have additional E-mails that match their audio logs (if there are any).
This allows you to read along when listening to an audio log. Very handy if that cabinet code is hard to understand.
2. It also provides a choice in the GAME OPTIONS menu to close caption all dialog and/or sound effects.
While playing DOOM3 you will be able to see captions for many important dialog and sounds, including enemy noises.
INSTALLATION:
Extract the contents of this .zip into the root of your DOOM3 directory with "use folder names" checked.
It will do the following:
1. Extract a "doom3cc_v2.0.bat" file into your doom3 directory.
2. Extract a "readme_doom3cc_v2.0.txt" file into your doom3 directory.
3. Extract a "doom3cc_v2.0" subdirectory into doom3.
STARTING THE MOD:
You have two options -
1. Run the "doom3cc_v2.0.bat" file in your root DOOM3 directory. You should see a new splash screen graphic instead of the original doom3 one.
Start a new game or load a previously saved game.
or
2. Load up DOOM3 as you normally do. Then click on the "MODS" button. Choose "doom3cc" and load it.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The first time you run the mod, DOOM3 may exit unexpectedly. I'm not sure why, I think it happens when DOOM3 copies the .dll and .cfg files into the mod directory. Just rerun the game it should work.
2. Previous saved games may not work correctly due to code changes from the mod.
3. Once in the game, configure whether you want dialog and/or sound effects closed captioned through the GAME OPTIONS menu.
4. PDA VIDEO E-mails that provide spoilers have been marked with **SPOILER** tags.
5. When watching a video, you can read the matching Email and follow along as the dialog is spoken.
6. The visual sound radar has a few bugs in the system that make the position of the sounds offset a little bit behind the center origin in some instances.

FUTURE:
It's been a long ride but we finally reached our destination. Now we would like other mod and professional developers to implement closed captioning into other games. We would be happy if you chose to use our system we created provided that you close caption all sounds and dialog. That's what the system was designed for and really shows its worth when used to its full potential.
